How to Create a PayPal Business Account (From Scratch)

To accept PayPal payments through your GetWealthStack funnels, you need a PayPal Business Account. A standard personal account won't work because it doesn't provide the API credentials required to connect to our platform.

Upgrading to or opening a Business account is completely free. PayPal only charges a transaction fee when you actually make a sale. Here is how to set it up in just a few minutes.

What you need before we begin:

Your business details (Legal business name, address, and customer service contact info).
Your personal details (for identity verification, such as your SSN or local equivalent ID).
Your bank account details (to withdraw your funds).

Step 1: Sign Up for a Business Account

Go to PayPal.com.
Click the Sign Up button.
You will be asked to choose between a Personal or Business account. Select Business Account and click Next.
Enter the email address you want to use for your business and create a strong password.

Step 2: Enter Your Business Information

PayPal will now ask you a few questions about how you operate.

Business Contact Info: Enter your legal first and last name, your business name, and your business phone number and address.
Business Type: Select the option that best describes you (e.g., Individual/Sole Proprietorship, LLC, or Corporation).
Product or Service Keyword: Type in what you sell (e.g., "Educational Services" or "Consulting") and select the best match from the drop-down menu.
Website: You can enter your custom GetWealthStack domain here.

Step 3: Verify Your Identity

Financial regulations require PayPal to verify who you are to prevent fraud.

Enter your date of birth and your home address (if different from your business address).
Provide the requested identification number (like the last 4 digits of your SSN in the US, or your national ID number depending on your country).
Click Submit.

Step 4: Link Your Bank Account

To actually use the money you earn, you need to connect your bank account.

Once inside your new PayPal Business dashboard, look for the Pay & Get Paid menu at the top.
Click on Banks & Cards.
Click Link a new bank and follow the prompts to connect your local business checking account.

Step 5: Confirm Your Email

Don't forget this crucial final step! Check your email inbox for a message from PayPal with the subject line "Confirm your email address." Click the link inside to fully activate your account.
