How to Install Facebook Pixel & Google Analytics (Tracking Codes)

If you are running ads or want to know exactly where your traffic is coming from, you need tracking. Installing the Meta (Facebook) Pixel and Google Analytics (GA4) allows you to measure your ad performance, track conversions, and understand your audience.

In GetWealthStack, you don't need to be a developer to do this. You can easily paste your tracking codes globally so they apply to all your funnels automatically.

What you need before we begin:

Your Meta Pixel Base Code (found in your Facebook Events Manager).
Your Google Tag (GA4) Code (found in your Google Analytics Admin settings).

Step 1: Copy Your Tracking Codes

First, ensure you have copied the correct tracking codes from Facebook and Google. Both platforms provide a block of HTML code (it usually starts with <script> and ends with </script>). Both Meta and Google recommend placing these base codes in the Header of your website.

Step 2: Add Tracking Codes Globally (Recommended)

The easiest way to track your business is to add the codes to your global funnel settings. This ensures the tracking fires on every funnel page you build.

Log in to your GetWealthStack dashboard.
Click on your profile picture in the top right corner and select Settings.
In the left-hand menu, click on Sales Funnels.
Scroll down until you see the Tracking code section.
You will see a box labeled Tracking code for funnel pages (Header).
Paste your Meta Pixel code and/or Google Analytics code directly into this box. You can paste them one right after the other.
Click the Save button at the top or bottom of the page.

Step 3: Add Tracking Codes to Specific Pages (Optional)

Sometimes you only want a specific piece of code (like a Facebook standard event for a "Purchase" or "Lead") to fire on a specific page, like a Thank You page.

Go to your Funnels menu and open the specific funnel.
Select the page you want to track (e.g., your Thank You page) and click Edit Page to open the builder.
In the top left menu of the editor, click on Settings.
Scroll all the way down to the Tracking section.
Click on Edit Header Code (or Edit Footer Code, depending on the script instructions).
Paste your specific event code into the pop-up box and click Save.
Don't forget to save your page in the top right corner before exiting.

Step 4: Verify Your Setup

Once you've saved your codes, it's best practice to verify they are working.

For Facebook: Download the free Meta Pixel Helper Chrome extension. Visit your live GetWealthStack page and click the extension to see if your Pixel is firing correctly.
For Google: Use the Google Tag Assistant extension or check the "Realtime" report inside your Google Analytics dashboard while you visit your live page.
